How we work

From your call to a sealed floor

  1. 1

    Tell us what you see

Call or message us on WhatsApp and describe where the damp is and whether the tiles are still in place, so we can assess the situation before anything else.

  2. 2

    Checking the floor and drain

We check the fall of the floor towards the drain and the condition of the junctions at the walls and the door threshold, to find where the protection is missing or has failed.

  3. 3

Preparing the surface and treating it

The work involves cleaning the base, closing cracks and sealing joints, then applying the waterproof layer over the full floor area and a suitable height up the walls.

  4. 4

    Sealing the weak points

The drain, the door threshold and the corners where the wall meets the floor are the most vulnerable spots, and each is given particular care during application.

About the area

The service in Al Mubarraz

In a home in Al Mubarraz, bathroom water from washing, cleaning and bathing flows across the floor and often pools around edges, joints and corners. If these areas are not sealed properly, water seeps gradually into the foundation and the room below, and damp stains appear on the ceiling underneath. The technician first checks the current condition of the floor and any existing cracks, then prepares and cleans the surface before applying waterproof layers to cover the floor, joints and corners.

Al Mubarraz is a village in Al-Ahsa governorate in the Eastern Province, close to As Sulaimaniyah District, As Saifa District and An Nasriyah District.

Water finds the easiest path, and the floor joints and bathroom corners are its weakest points.

Questions

Questions about Bathroom floor waterproofing in Al Mubarraz

No. Tiles do not waterproof on their own. Water finds its way through the drain opening, the wall junctions and any crack in the screed. The waterproof layer applied to the floor before or under the tiles is what stops water reaching the slab. Tiles finish the surface; they do not seal it.

Because both are points where the waterproof layer is interrupted. At the drain, the floor meets a metal ring that is hard to seal completely if the joint is not treated carefully. The door threshold is the boundary between a wet and a dry area, and if the waterproof layer does not reach it, water enters beneath it.

If the stain is directly on the ceiling below the bathroom and grows after repeated use, the floor is the more likely source. If damp appears on a neighbouring wall or in the corners of an adjacent room, the wall or the corner is more probable. Pinpointing the source accurately requires checking the floor surface, the junctions and the drain together.

The correct fall of the floor is a necessary complement to the waterproof layer. If the floor is flat or slopes away from the drain, water pools and presses on the layer at specific points, speeding up its failure. Waterproofing alone does not compensate for a poor fall, and a correct fall alone is not enough without a sound waterproof layer.

Tell us exactly where the damp appears: on the ceiling below, inside the bathroom, or both. Say whether the tiles are still in place or some have been removed, and whether the bathroom is in use or under construction. The clearer the information, the better we can judge what the floor needs before we visit.

If you see a damp stain on the ceiling of the room below the bathroom, or a damp smell there, water is seeping from the bathroom. Call Al Raya to inspect the floor, joints and corners.

Tell where you see damp stains or smell, whether the floor has cracks or soft spots, and if you have had a leak before. Send photos of the floor and stains on WhatsApp if you can.
